Gabriel Ramirez And Michael Hislope, Obituary, Death Christian County Sheriff’s Office Has Died
It is with profound sorrow that we grieve the tragic loss of two of our own — Deputy Gabriel Ramirez and Deputy Michael Hislope — who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Deputy Gabriel Ramirez, 30, began his service with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office on March 14, 2025. Although his time with our agency was brief, his dedication to protecting and serving others was evident from his very first day. He embraced his role with integrity, compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility to the citizens of Christian County.
Deputy Michael Hislope, 40, faithfully served our community since October 28, 2019. Throughout his years with the Sheriff’s Office, he distinguished himself as a committed deputy, a dependable partner, and a respected member of our law enforcement family. His professionalism and steady presence made a lasting impact on both his colleagues and the community he served.
Both deputies answered a calling greater than themselves. They placed the safety and well-being of others above their own, embodying the highest ideals of public service. In addition to their service to our county, they also served our nation honorably in the U.S. Army. Their bravery, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to duty will never be forgotten. During this time of unimaginable loss, we ask our community to keep their families, friends, and fellow deputies in your thoughts and prayers. On behalf of the entire Christian County Sheriff’s Office, we honor their lives, their service, and the legacy they leave behind. Sheriff Brad Cole
